About
"Nihongo" is an English-to-Japanese and Japanese-to-English dictionary app, with usage examples for select words and phrases.
This app uses the EDICT and KANJIDIC dictionary files, which are the property of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, and are used in conformance with the Group's licence.
Features
- Finds both partial word matches (using just a few letters of input) as well as exact phrase matches
- Input Japanese words in romaji, and search using the corresponding hiragana or katakana
- Includes usage examples for select words and phrases, from the Tanaka Corpus data
- Lookup kanji characters by radical or stoke count
- Works in places with bad reception (phone and internet access are not needed)
- Runs on both the iPhone and iPod Touch
